I had my old Sony DSC W5 then and it was pretty handy for macros.

Ants are fun to watch; they are truly amazing little creatures. We have a species here in Maryland that protects and herds aphids.
The ants love the sugar water the aphids excrete as waste, and will actually relocate the aphids to a new bush once they have eaten all the leaves.
They even store the aphid eggs in their colony during winter.
They are always a good macro subject, and this little one gave you such a nice image.
