Sreejith, basically my Rusty cat got life and death ill, and we brought him back to health, going beyond what medicine offers. I’ve had comments closed due to around the clock care with him. I posted some flowers with comments closed. And now today I have waterfalls and a funny story with comments OPEN. Whew. That’s about it in a nutshell. (((HUGS))) Amy

Hope you would have already guessed it,
that “soochimukhi” is the name of the bird in Malayalam 🙂
Thank you so much for checking this one out, have a nice day 🙂

Cute bird, Sreejith. It looks as if it’s looking at something beyond those green stems. Bet it was entertaining itself, since it was all alone. This looks like a nice bird, didn’t really expect to find birds like these in India 🙂
See you’ve changed your theme! I like it! Though I feel your photo(s) looks smaller than on the previous theme. Love your work, and great to see you’re back 🙂

Thank you so much, Mabel for you lovely comments 🙂
Great to see your feedback on the theme, I wanted some change, which helps easier navigation and preview, so tried this one. It didn’t really met my expectation though, but works fine I feel 🙂
I was too tied up with some personal work, a marriage in my family, and couldn’t even open wordpress for some days now.
Last week, I went to one of my relatives home, and I could see a gang of these small beauties flying around and sipping honey from all the flowers around and happily taking a bath from a small pot of water kept. We really enjoyed the show and I managed to get some decent shots…
Let me catch up with all the action I missed during these days 🙂

This theme is interesting, glad you’re finding your way around it. It’s always hard finding a theme we’re both comfortable with and works for the blog. I’ve spent endless hours tweaking mine with CSS, and I still am not happy with it, haha 🙂
Sounds like you went away for a bit – all to experience a bit of life. Life, which inspires us to share photos and stories. Hope you managed to take quite a few photos 🙂

welcome back – but breaks are good too – so I hope you had a nice break!
also – loved this photo – what social capture – I am wondering where you were when you saw all this – it just seems serendipitous – to get the vertical poles – the hanging flowers – the other greens – the cute knobs – and the bird! then the blue to the right – whew is this a unique one….

Yea, as you have rightly observed, the place was brimming with color and activity.
I was actually trying to capture a few action shots of the birds sipping honey, but was not lucky to get anything sharp 🙂
But seeing this pose, I thought, it’s a worth capturing.
And I am so happy that you liked it 🙂
