  2. A great shot, Sreejith. I love how the little girl is hugging the bear, yet still has the heart to help another human being. The shadows on the ground give the photo a sombre touch, in my opinion.

    Seeing the hunch-back lady, it remember seeing quite a few of them living in Singapore and Malaysia. Reminds me how some people in some parts of the world tend to fall ill to illnesses more often. In Melbourne, we rarely see such a sight. Thanks for sharing this part of your world with us 🙂

      The little girl in this shot is my daughter and the old lady is her great aunt.

      This is something she likes to do whenever she gets a chance 🙂

      Sometimes, Kids does things in a more mature manner than adults does, right?

  25. One of the greatest sights I love to see is a child fully in love with a grandparent & elder. This photo is a perfect example of this feeling, it defines a love that is indescribable. Well done Sreejith.

    and I agree with Emilio – who agreed “wholeheartedly with both Mabel’s and Sue’s comments above” – lol
    but the somber feel – but then not so much. The helping feel – and the matching colored outfits – pink and white -and the generational feel – and I think another reader noted the bear adds something – there is mixed tension here – and to end with another reader’s comment
    “heart warming”

    1. This image is one of the most ‘liked’ and ‘commented’ one in my blog…

      The reason, almost everyone could relate to it, as we all are same in core, where ever we live on this planet, right?

      The old person in this image is my grandmother’s sister and the kid is my daughter 🙂

      When ever she gets a chance, my daughter loves spending time with the great granny and helps her while she moves around, they are the best friends.

      I feel, old people need only one thing, our love and a little bit of our time…

      This image helped me to get shortlisted in a photography competition and attend their award night.

      So, something very special to me 🙂
