Weekly Photo Challenge: Summer Lovin’ , An Evening at Nandi Hills

Summer means out doors, I think this holds good where ever in the world you are 🙂

When we were kids, summer vacation was the most sought after time of the year, with longer and sunny days, it was perfect for any out door activity.

I always try to use this time for my travels as it provides great opportunities for photography.

Let me share an image taken on a beautiful summer evening at Nandi hills near Bangalore.

    1. Yea, you got it perfectly right, their interpretation of the viewing platform is that of a ship in the high seas with the mast and sails 🙂

Thank you so much for your kind words, Tish 🙂

  1. Lovely shot, Sreejith. As Tish said, that platform looks like a space-ship thing-o. The silhouette stands out strong and the people stand out nice and clear. That’s a beautiful orange sky, one that we usually see in Melbourne too when it’s summer here. Is it summer now in India? It’s winter here in Melbourne. Raining every day and makes it a pain to go out 🙂 Hope you’re well 🙂

    1. Hello Mabel, It’s raining here also, it’s the monsoon time, means non-stop rain for 3 months 🙂

I had taken this shot last summer and summer evenings are so beautiful in Bangalore.

I think their concept for the platform overlooking the valley is that of a ship and we could easily relate to the sails and mast here.

This is one of my favorite place to escape from Bangalore 🙂 and the views it offers is quite amazing.

      Have a nice weekend 🙂

      1. I hope the rains aren’t too bad in Bangalore and you get to go out and do some exploring. And of course take some beautiful shots for us 🙂

It does look like a quite place there. The ship-platform, one of a kind right above the city and the mountains. I can imagine just how peaceful it is up there.

Hope you had a good weekend, Sreejith. Or what’s left of it. Have a good week ahead 🙂

  2. Great picture of a nice after sunset shot Sreejith. I bet most of the people are making pictures out of the platform and having only an other sunset shot. 🙂

The predator becomes prey and a very decent image is the final outcome 🙂

    1. I have taken this shot at a small hill station near Bangalore.

Best thing about this place is, it provides great views of the valley around and there is an old temple at the top.

The people in charge of tourism here, had erected a few of these platforms for people to to have uninterrupted views of the valley and sunset.

The concept here is a sailing ship in high seas.

Frankly. the silhouette looks even better than the original one 🙂

Most of places, the authorities comes up with some concrete slabs or platforms which really becomes a sore to the eyes, but here they have done something aesthetically appealing 🙂
