  1. Amazing capture, Sreejith. So much clarity in this shot. Very vibrant too. The men look like they are moving very fast, and look like they are in a hurry. Hope they got the cultural attire on okay and everything went according to plan.

      This rare Theyyam is performed in only a few temples and represents a powerful deity…

      For someone like me, who was born and brought up in this Theyyam land, this interesting art form is associated with an element of devotion as well.

      Hope you get a chance to visit Kerala once and watch Theyyam once 🙂

      This image depicts an important phase in the ‘Theyyam’, where, a common man transforms to god for a few minutes and blesses the devotees.

      You would have seen many an images of Theyyam in my blog, as it’s irresistible for me to capture and share them.

      This ‘folk art’ or ‘divine dance’ is something everyone likes photographing 🙂

        1. This is the peak Theyyam season and it will continue till the monsoon arrives 🙂

          If you plan a Kerala trip any time during Jan to April, plz make sure to set aside a couple of day to Kannur …

          That’s my native, and the Theyyam country 🙂

        2. Aha Kannur. Will note it down. I have been to Kerala a couple of times and both time, to Allepey and Trivandrum. Could not go anywhere else. But I know Kerala is a very beautiful place. Hope some day, we both will meet up somewhere with our camera 🙂

      Once I started working in my present Organisation with the idea of helping people to explore the places and culture in my native, I have started missing all the action 🙂

      Either I sit and design programs in my office and manage it or travel around to attend meetings in our locations…
