It was quite an unplanned trip to the ‘Bekal fort‘ last day, and as always, I was late to reach 🙂

But, nature was so kind to me that, we were in for a great treat… treat of light and shadows…

Here it is, a few images I managed to capture at sunset 🙂

    1. I could guess, how frustrating it is for my friends who follows me and taking their time out and commenting on my blog posts, to see my inconsistent blogging and extremely late responses…

      Good thing is, life is really interesting and I am able to be part of many meaningful activities in recent past.

      1. Hi sreejith – I like to quote Amy moranto when it comes to blog pace and even comment replies
        – she says the blogosphere will always be here – and actually I respect those who draw boundaries and can pause or have a scattered pace – and unless someone is making big bucks from their blog – well they need to use wisdom in how they engage –
        I see a few folks sucked in (like a vortex) and they are not even enjoying blogging anymore because it is rote or habit –
        And so even if we lose some followers (sniff – this has happened to me during my long breaks and it sucks but oh well) the fact is we must blog in healthy ways – right

  5. Amazing sunsets along down Bekal fort. What an orange sky…almost like how someone spilled orange juice all over. Trips can be unplanned, life is unplanned and you just got to roll along with it. Hope you’ve been well, Sreejith. Take care 🙂

    1. I am doing great, Mabel and life has been very interesting over last couple of months 🙂

      As you said, there is a beauty in unplanned life… and I always been an advocate of such a life.

      But, the most common complaint that I have to hear (can’t respond) is I am impractical for the calls I took in life.

      As you could expect in Indian and Chinese cultures, almost everyone in our community/village feels that they got the right to criticize us on even a very personal things, ha ha 🙂

      Best way is to keep calm, follow your instincts, work hard and hope, your day will come soon 🙂

      I really could see it coming 🙂

      These, post monsoon months are just beautiful for the dramatic skies here in Kerala.

      Lucky to spend some time with my family at a nearby fort, which is ideally located on the beach…

      Those birds are peacocks and it was extremely rare to find them near human inhabitations. Now a days, due to climate changes it’s a common to spot peacocks almost everywhere in Kerala.

      In fact, peacock is the national bird of India 🙂

      Post Monsoon months are really beautiful here in Kerala. Land is still lush green, sky is clear, and the sunsets are so dramatic with cloud formations…

      I was on a family trip and my kids had a great time at the beach 🙂

      This fort is located so close to the beach and the views are always great from here.

      But, what really caught my attention was the peacocks. That was quite an unexpected sight indeed and a bit worrying too…

      They live in semi arid places and was not at all seen in our villages.

      But, recently more and more peacocks are coming out of the forest lands and started encroaching the vegetable farms and all.

      Experts say that it’s a clear sign of global warming and habitat destruction.

      Lot of changes happening in this beautiful land over last some years and the recent massive floods was the epitome of all it all.

      Peacocks were a rare sight even a few years back and I don’t remember spotting them anywhere other than in a Zoo.

      Now, as an impact of climate change, they are moving our of forest lands and started easily living in semi urban areas.

      They are beautiful but the message they bring in so not so great 😦

      Best thing about North Kerala is, it’s still unspoiled and least touristy.
