      The subject here is a really interesting personality who has got a special skill to spot water presence underground and dig wells and tunnels to reach out to it.

      I met him last week and after a light chat about his work, challenges, water scarcity, the impact of stone and sand mining on the remaining fresh water resources etc;

      I visited a 150 meter long horizontal tunnel dug by him alone, and it was quite an experience…

      I wanted to shoot the person from the tunnel, who created it to bring water to the much needed village people.

      A man who dug over 1000 wells and tunnels in a water scarce part of Kerala..

      This man is a legend, who has got a sixth sense to spot water sources deep underneath the surface and who dug wells and tunnels to reach out to the source and bring water to the needy…

      Though I have heard about this legendary person for many years, I managed to meet him and explore the amazing work he has done only last week.

      He is a water man and has got an amazing skill to spot water sources…

      He helped the farmers and village people in the northern most district of Kerala, where water is not that abundant.

      His work and message is quite relevant to my native, especially after the recent massive floods…

      In present day Kerala, the message from his work is quite relevant, where unscientific mining is destroying the whole ecosystem.

      When I got a chance to meet and talked to him, I realized that his story and his message should travel far and wide…

      This is truly the reward of working in sustainable tourism area, meeting and interacting with many an interesting people…
