It is the fourth time these little sunbirds are trying to make a nest. They failed to complete their nest on first two attempts but managed to build a nest last time and even laid eggs but it got collapsed just before hatching.
I really wish to see and photograph baby birds fly away this time 🙂

Wow how special and wonderful! But poor birds, I wish them more succes with their nest and hope you’ll see some baby birds one day… and then we also 🙂 !

I really wish this time, I will get a chance to see some baby birds fly away from this nest …
There is so much we could learn from nature, if we just slow down our pace and observe the world around us, right?
Learning a few things on photography as well…
Thank you so much for being an inspiration through your work and words, Noortje 🙂

May be I am wrong factually, it could be a different pair. But for an untrained eye or symbolically, I would like to believe that they failed a few times, still trying and will be successful this time …
Thank you so much for your thoughtful comments, Brenda 🙂

It’s quite exciting to see how they worked 6 days on a stretch building their nest. I really don’t want to see their effort getting wasted this time.
I hope they are successful this time around and I will be able to photograph baby birds taking their first flight 🙂
Thank you so much Eliza for your kind words 🙂

Nature will take it’s own course, finding their designated nest and settle down for baby birds. Great captured images here.

You are absolutely right, if we don’t intervene much, nature will take it’s own course…
At times, we feel, we need to protect nature and fails to acknowledge that we are being protected by nature 🙂

Awww, these are such lovely captures, Sreejith. I just love the Sunbirds and you are so lucky to have their nest in your vicinity. It is really sad to hear about the collapse of the nest with the eggs. Must be young and inexperienced parents. Hope all goes well this time and wish to see your captures soon.

Sorry for the delay in responding to your comment, Sarmistha 🙂
But, now there are no surprises and we know the end of the story, just like the Bollywood films, a happy ending 🙂

Oh to have the sunbird in your presence, how fortunate. I so enjoyed this series, Sreejith, and the flight of this sunbird diligently building the intricate nest. The lesson of perseverance is a special one, and how lovely you brought it forward with this magical sunbird. Cheers to you.

I know your passion for nature and especially towards birds 🙂
The current Pandemic phase opened up some opportunities, I feel. To take a break from the fast paced life, get closer to nature, appreciate it’s wonders etc;
Time spent observing the birds butterflies and their life has been so soothing and also teaches some great philosophies, I felt.
I am sure that, the Covid phase will have a lasting positive impact on the mindset of many towards nature.
May be it might get reflected in the upcoming Presidential elections as well 🙂

This is absolutely well-timed photograph from you, Sreejith. Amazing work. That is lovely story of perseverance but so sad the nest collapsed. Looking at your other post looks like things got better for the birds. Sometimes good things take time to happen.
Hope you are doing well over there and taking care of yourself.

Yes, Mabel, good things indeed take time, and it did 🙂
So happy to see you back and I am so sorry for the late response.
I am sure, you know how inconsistent my blogging journey has been.
We are all doing good and thank you so much for your kind words, my friend 🙂
My engagement with bird photography and macros are indeed the result of the Covid restrictions.
It gave me ample time to just sit back and observe the immediate world around me, and I would say, nature taught me quite some lessons too….
Thanks again Mabel for being here and being a great supporter in my blogging journey.
I am sad that, I couldn’t really reciprocate it … Again we have time to make amends 🙂
