As soon as I saw it, I thought of this metaphor, pure white feather in muddy waters …

Every time I find a white feather on my walks, I always feel like my mother is close

It certainly takes us back to our childhood …
Though it was covered in muddy waters, it remained pure, like unconditional love…
I feel honored to hear that my image had a positive feel in you.
Thanks again for your time 🙂

The sight of muddy water as droplets on the feather made me think on those lines …

That’s quite an interesting comment, Eliza 🙂
The district of Wayanad is where I work mostly, with the local and indigenous communities.
This region is recognized as one of the eight hottest hot spots of biodiversity in the world (The Western ghat mountain range).
Even on a casual walk, you can spot countless birds here.

Sounds like a special place… I hope it is protected from development?

It is really an amazing place, Eliza !
There are many wild life sanctuaries connected to this mountain range but it is facing multitude of threats connected to mining and other development related activities…
Now a days, common people are trying their best to protect these pristine Eco systems.

As soon as I spotted it, I related it to the concept of purity …
It is again the land of indigenous people who are yet to be corrupted by the modern world 🙂

Thank you so much, Cornelia and I really wanted to convey how pure is the minds of the indigenous people who live here …
This place, named Wayanad is a hot spot of biodiversity and also inhabited by ancient tribes for ages.

The district of Wayanad is just an amazing place as it’s very much part of the Western ghats and even if you are blind folded, you can’t miss the beauty around 🙂

What a striking photo, Sreejith. I love the contrast in colours, and the sense of peace and purity it encapsulates.

Thank you so much, Jolandi for your appreciative comments 🙂
As I was working with the people from indigenous communities in the hilly villages of Wayanad, I always felt that, they are like this pure white feather, uncorrupted by the civilized world.
They follow a life perfectly in sync with nature and that’s something we all need to learn from them, I feel 🙂

We do indeed, as I think we will all live a bit differently if we can live more in sync with nature.

Sorry for the delay in replying…
I shot the image in ‘Wayanad’, a pristine landscape in the Western ghat mountain range and really miss those ‘Official Travels’ due to the pandemic …
