I am privileged to have been born and brought up in one of the most beautiful places on earth, Kerala.

Blue skies, Monsoon rains, Virgin beaches, Green carpeted hills, countless Streams and Backwaters… all these been taken for granted.

Two decades gone in a flash and I had to move on… move away…

Completing my studies I moved to Bangalore and started my career in IT industry and the 9 to 5 life.

Five days in office was no excuse for two days of rest, and I started exploring places around.

Here, I would like to share my thoughts, share my travel photos and stories, and introduce you all to my beloved native “Kerala”.

Welcome to my blog and Thanks for your time.

Fast Forward 3 years (August 2016)

How long you could resist it…

The pull of your home place.

Yea, finally, after working in Bangalore for 10 years, I managed to say bye bye to my IT career.

Once I came back home, I wanted to do something meaningful, something which gives me happiness…

My search led me to a wonderful team which worked under an umbrella organization called ‘Kabani-The other direction’ a non-profit NGO which works with the local communities to develop and market community tourism programmes.

Now I am part of this team and having a great time exploring one of the most beautiful places on earth and interacting with real people…

Thank you so much for all the wonderful people in this forum who stood with me and keep supporting me during all these years…

Thank you so much for the nomination, I am so glad you felt my blog deserves this award 🙂

As I was away from blogging for most of January, I missed your message.

Only thing with accepting awards is, most of times, I miss the steps to be followed and postpone it to another day… and that day never comes…

Hope you are having a great time 🙂

Thank you so much and I really feel honored 🙂

As I was away from blogosphere for a while in between, missed out your message.

It’s the real and only reward of spending countless hours in front of the computer, posting, commenting and replying…

Though I don’t have any no-award policy and all, I am too lazy to follow up with the steps for accepting the awards.

Please don’t feel bad about it 🙂

Great to see that you were in India and liked my beautiful country 🙂

Unless you have plenty of time, it’s so hard to explore this vast nation properly in one trip.

I am so happy you liked my posts on Kerala and I am more than happy to share the beauty of this narrow strip of land sandwiched between the mountains and the sea.

I am sure your family will thoroughly enjoy a trip to Kerala and wish it happens soon 🙂

    1. Hello Sweta,

We are all safe. We are from the northern most part of Kerala which is less affected by the massive floods and landslides.

But the overall situation is so bad and it will take years of efforts to complete the rehabilitation and reconstruction activities.

The positives put of this calamity are,

      1. The whole state and Keralites from all across the globe stood together.

      2. The so called ‘New Gen’ was right in the fore front of all the volunteer work and that gives great hope on the future of this state and the society.

      3. Hope the people and government will at least start discussing about sustainable development.

Thank you so much for your message and it really means a lot to me 🙂

      1. So glad to know you and your family is doing okay. It is indeed sad to see such a beautiful state in such a mess, but your positive observations may be the silver lining we all ought to see.
Keralites definitely stood together; few Malayalis I know, did not celebrate Onam and instead donated the money they would spend on the festivities towards relief efforts. That was very thoughtful I think.
        Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
        Take care!

        1. You are absolutely right, Sweta, we all stood together and now planning to rebuild the whole state in a sustainable manner, as much as possible 🙂

Have a beautiful day ahead 🙂
