  1. This is an intriguing shot, Sreejith. Like how the man is looking into the distance…it look like something is being built or being fixed 😏 I also like how there is a bit of smoke coming through at the end…sign of things are moving along perhaps. Great to see you and take care 🙂

    1. You are spot on, Mabel, a new bridge is getting built in a beautiful country side and the life of the local community is going to get impacted.

The old hanging bridge will make way for the new one and many trees will by felled during it’s construction.

The person in the image is from a tribal community, those who are, always the victims of any unplanned and the ‘so called development’ activities.

I just used this image as a symbolic one to portray the current model of development in this part of the world. Unsustainable mining in pristine forest areas is a real concern, especially after the devastating floods in Kerala a few months back…

Thank you so much for your visit and observant comments 🙂

      1. After you described the context, it definitely gives more brevity to the situation. On one hand, there are developments hopefully to improve lives but on the other hand lush forests are being brought down. Two sides of the coin there. Always enjoying visiting yours, Sreejith 🙂

    1. Absolutely, Neha 🙂

But, the kind of ‘so called development’ is spoiling this pristine landscape…

This image is more of a symbolic one.

Thank you so much for your visit and sharing your thoughts 🙂

    1. Thank you so much, Rabirius 🙂

This is one of the village where I work to promote a sustainable tourism programme…

Kerala is facing a lot of issues due to unsustainable developmental activities and tourism is such an area… this is a symbolic image.
