It’s really hard to believe that I was away for five long months from this wonderful community.
And, finally the silence is broken and here I am, among you all great people…
I couldn’t stand any longer from sharing images and experiences from my beautiful Kerala.
A guided ‘day walk’ in one of the most scenic villages at the foothills of ‘Banasura Hills’ is the immediate trigger.
Please have a look at this image from, Mothakkara village as part of the ‘Weekly Photo Challenge‘.
You were missed! This is a brilliant picture 🙂 love the contours of the clouds in the landscape!

Hope you are doing great 🙂
Frankly, this image couldn’t do justice to the real ambiance, but this is what I could capture with the limitation of our gadgets 🙂
I really missed this space for all these months.
But one good thing is, I made a career move which is certain to help me with my travels and photography 🙂

This is such a lovely shot of a village in Kerala. Clouds behind the rolling mountains look spectacular, and the villagers look like they are hard at work. Welcome back, Sreejith. Missed seeing your photos from India. Hope all has been well with you (hope the studies were going well) and looking forward to more beautiful photos and meaningful tales of India to come 🙂

welcome back, sreejith, it’s been a while.
good to hear from you again and with a beautiful image to kick if off too 🙂
have a good weekend.

if i may ask, why the hiatus?

Dear Ken, Thank you so much for your message, it really means a lot to me 🙂
Yea, the rather long hiatus was totally unplanned.
I was preparing for a competitive exam and found it really hard to share some quality time for blogging during studies.
But quite interestingly, as soon as the exams were over, I got a great opportunity to try my hand in a totally different domain, ‘sustainable tourism’.
Now after almost two months into the new job, which is really exciting, I feel settled.
I am so happy to be back and feel at home, among you all, in this wonderful community 🙂
Have a beautiful day 🙂

‘Responsible/Sustainable’ tourism aims to benefit the local community more than mainstream tourism.
It’s for people who would like to live with the local people in homastays and experience the place and culture in person.
The villages selected for this programme are off the beaten track.
We could directly see the positive impact in the lives of local people while working in this domain 🙂

Yes, Sustainable tourism is really an interesting area and we are trying our best to promote it, as the local community is the direct beneficiary and the environmental impact is minimal.

Wayanad truly reminds us about these lines…
It’s blessed with natural beauty, but the flow of tourists and construction activities all around has started showing it’s negative impacts …
